Tomorrow is Wednesday and a lot of christians will be attending church. But there may also bee some that will watch it on Live or some who may do neither. Technology has come so far that we can now watch services through our social media platforms and while that is good for those who may work or have other things preventing you from getting the word face to face, we still must understand the importance of gathering in the house of the Lord.

I saw someone use an analogy that really made sense. You can watch a video of a fire, but you won’t feel that warmth from the fire until you go near the real fire. Church is similar in this aspect, you can watch the service, but you can go to the service to feel its power. The Lord wants us to gather with others that share our same beliefs.

Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

This is the Lord wanting us to gather with one another and encourage one another because one day the Lord will call us home and he wants His children ready for that.

Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

God wants us to gather together to receive the word from our teachers as people gathered to listen to Jesus.

So if you’re not busy and you have the way, we should all attend church and rejoice in the fellowship of being near other christians and children of God.
