Often times you hear about christians listening to God. This is what the Lord wants us all to do. Have you ever been praying about something and then all of a sudden you see a sign that just happens to be related to your prayers? That’s God. It is important that we listen to Him and obey Him. Some people may not agree or like the things He tells us to do, but we must obey Him anyway.

In Luke 11:28 Jesus says, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” If we listen to the Lord we will be blessed.

1 John 5:3 says, “In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.” The Lord tells us to do things for our own good, though we may not understand why in that moment, He knows His plan for you.

Obeying the Lord goes hand in hand with trusting Him too. You cannot simply say “I trust the Lord,” but not obey the things He asks of you. God loves His children and He would never do anything to harm us so we need to have faith and trust in the Lord that what He says is for the good.

Though many struggle with obedience in the Lord, you can pray for assistance and guidance to help you. Call on the Lord and He will guide you.
