Today is Easter and I noticed that there were much more people at Church than usual. This can also be said for Christmas which shares a common theme with Easter: it involves Jesus and is a religious holiday. There are always a larger amount of people who congregate to churches during these holidays and though it is amazing to see God’s people in church, why do we only see these people twice a year? This post will be much different than my others, but I feel that it is necessary for people to hear regardless of how harsh it seems because this all comes from a place of love, I want to see all of us make it to Heaven.
The Lord wants us to come every time the church opens their door, not just during the major holidays that involve Jesus. We should always be excited and ready to attend church no matter when. It is important that we stay loyal.
I have previously made a post about the importance of attending church so I won’t dive too much into that right now. But I will dive into how important it is that we stay loyal to the Lord.
Proverbs 20:6 says, “Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?” When we claim that we love the Lord, we must also prove that in our faith and loyalty to Him. When you love other people, do you not try to see them more than twice a year? The Lord also wants that of us.
1 Kings 8:61 says, ” And may your hearts be fully committed to the Lord our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commandments, as at this time.” He desires our loyalty, our love, our faithfulness just as we do those around us and just as we desire that of others. When we do these things He too will be loyal to us. I feel a lot of times people will question why God hasn’t healed them or answered their prayers, but are we doing what is necessary to receive His blessings? Or are we only praying when we are in need rather than praying to build a stable foundation with God?
I hope this makes people think and opens eyes to those who may not have even realized things like this. I know that sometimes people cannot always attend church and things may come up, but we should always strive to be in His house honoring our Holy Father.
Happy Easter, stay blessed.
