the living word

I have been absent for quite some time. I recently switched to working weekends and attending university an hour away from where I reside. Luckily, I’m now halfway done with my first semester here at the university and feel it is time to get back into things when I can.

I have been continuing my education in forensic social work. A lot of people do not understand why I would want to work with those incarcerated. But I believe that they are still human and worthy of kindness and God’s grace. People make mistakes, we all do and have. Jesus died on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven, I believe if the incarcerated saw how good God is then perhaps they would repent and find that they still have time to turn their lives around and join in Heaven’s glory.

Matthew 25:36 says, “I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”

I have gotten in contact with a few people and my local county jail and am hoping to donate bibles to those incarcerated. I understand that not all of them may want this, but as a christian we are to spread the word and this is one way I can extend a way for them to find faith and God. I ask for prayers that this goes well and for guidance as I try to spread the word to those incarcerated. My grandmother and I are taking a stand on this together and calling it “Living Word.”

Stay blessed and take care.
